Hi - Is anyone going to the Spares day in Farnham this weekend. I'm looking for a rear bumper blade and am mildly hopeful (unless anyone out there has one, but I will still go anyway)

Hi Nick - fancy finding you here! I am going to Farnham. Hope to meet up with you there.
If you read this in time, so you might recognise me, I am about 6ft and will be wearing a black baseball cap with an XJS badge on it. Also a black bomber jacket with a GROWLER badge on the back. Yeah, I know, Fancy Dress!!
Cheers, Archie.

Hi Nick - I'm wondering if you got to Farnham? I had been meaning to go for the last 3 years so was determined not to miss it this year.
My quest was abortive. I am looking for a 16 x7 lattice alloy for my spare (nothing) and fog lamps. The lamps available were either tatty or very expensive at £65 each (claimed to be new), which is not far off SNG Barratt price.
I would be interested in your views on the venue and the stalls, or the views of anybody else who went.
Cheers, Archie.

Sorry mate must have missed one another. I don't know how you felt but I guess that since the guys there were basically E Type orientated that XJS bits were a little thin on the ground.
I was after a rear bumper blade, but all the help and advice I received was to the effect that I should have been there at ten and not twelve (If you had been stuck in the traffic on the M25 you will I am sure appreciate my late arrival.
May see you on the London to Brighton I can slip this one in past the wife!
Cheers

Hi Nick - Yes I got there a bit late too. I thought it was mainly for E Type owners and model collectors and a bit small in size/number of stands. Disappointing in other words.
If I remember correctly, there is usually a very good spares day at Detling around April/May time and I am hoping not to miss that one. Last time I went was about 5 or 6 years ago!
See you next time or maybe in Brighton!.
Cheers, Archie.
