Fuel Filter
Re: Fuel Filter
To reply to my own post.
I`ve changed the said filter and it is a very simple job I didn`t even need to bleed it so if anyones thinking of changing one go ahead.

Re: Fuel Filter
Could you let us know the process please as I may do the same as you. Most service things can be accessed from the top of the engine I think once the plastic cover is lifted .
Re: Fuel Filter
Hi Barry.
The filter change that I did was on a S type which is situated in the right hand side of the engine bay Its not under the cover.
The way I did it was take the fuel filler cap off and back on again just in case there was any pressure in the system then remove the 4 pipes going on to the filter by just squeezing the the connectors at the sides then there is a plastic clip that lets you pull the filter up and out of its bracket (make a mental note of which way the 4 pipes are facing for when you put the filter back into the bracket). What I did then was turn on the ignition till the gurgeling noise stopped then fired her up.
PS A little bit of fuel came out of one of the pipes but this was cought by a rag that I put under the filter.
Hope this is helpfull to you.
