BBS Detroit Alloy 20" Valves

I have recently had my Detroit Alloys refurbished by a local company in the North East, a very good job was done. However since the refurb, one of the tyres is losing air through the valve very slowly over a period of 5-7 days. Does anyone know where it is possible to purchase these BBS valves? The refurb company said Jaguar can supply them, however when I checked my local Spares Department they were less than helpful. Any assistance would be appreciated.

It was covered by the 3rd party's insurance. I was so impressed with the standard of work I asked how much it'd be for the other 3... £145 plus VAT per wheel!

If thats for a full and proper refurbishment it's a very reasonable price , the stainless steel trims are normally about £200 without fitting ,

I'd highly recommend Steve Weightman , he has always done a very through job using the genuine BBS paint that's hard to come by ,

Steve is supposed to be educating people on Jaguar/BBS wheels

Not luring people over to the dark side ,

what I find amazing is that BBS don't prepare and paint their wheels to a good standard ....... unless you clean them every time you use the car they can look quite shabby after a short length of time , mine are fine at the moment but I treat them like babies but I've seen newer BBS wheels that are showing signs of corrosion after a year or two of use

Steve uses a different and more complex painting procedure to help ensure that his wheels will stand the test of time

Hi I had the same problem with the wheels on my XKR (2004) , Jaguar have de-listed these valves but I find that Terry at Swallows can obtain them, his phone number is 01934 751395 hope this helps. Alf 81822
