Postby jaghea » Tue May 26, 2009 1:24 pm

Hi, I have a problem with transmission fluid overflowing out of the dipstick pipe, recently due to the hot spell we had the pass few day's . The car is under cover outside. it's been under restoration over a few years and is almost complete. The transmission filter was changed and fluids..I noticed it yesterday. Any idea's please many thanks.

Hi jaghea, the problem is almost certainly due to the transmission being overfilled. The level should be checked hot after a good run of about 10-15 miles, with the engine idling and park engaged.

Thanks for that. My problem has been that I've been unable to drive the car yet and I have only had the engine running and going through the gears, for about 15 minutes
