Series 2 1979 Rear Seat Belts

Does anyone know if rear seat belts (3 point) can be fitted to a Jaguar XJ6 4.2L Series 2 1979 model. There are currently none and I don’t know if the structural attachment points were already included at that age in case it was an optional extra.

If they can be fitted do you know what is involved.

to be truthful, I've not a clue, but at 1979 i would have thought that your car would have had the provision for rear seat belts

may i suggest a call to David Marks on 0115982 2808, he WILL have the answer

Can't say for sure but do know that my father fitted rear belts in his 1977 XJ6 Series 2 without any modification to the bodywork fixtures or fittings.

Pretty sure you'll be OK - removal of the back seat will confirm it for you if you can't get hold of Mr. Marks.
