Crank sensor?

hello I have the following problem on my 1996 xj6 3.2l
engine start fine but after 10 minuts it start coughing like if it has spark plug problem.

If i stop the engine for a few minuts it runs fine again and the problem start again after 10 minutes .

I have been told it might be a Crank sensor issue as the spark plugs have been changed and ignition coil checked too

any idea? thank you in advance for your help
the car is currently in France so I need to find a solution in order to bring it back to the uk

Did you fix it?
My CPS went and showed symptoms just like yours. Sometimes it would start, limp round the block and run very rich. One day the car wouldn't start at all.
My garage (D&C Autos) replaced the CPS and all OK now.
