Replacing 240 Clutch

Postby TeamSpirit » Sun May 03, 2009 10:22 am

I have a Mk2 240 which is now in need of a new clutch. It would appear that the usual Classic Jaguar parts suppliers do not have any of these Borg & Beck 8.5" units left. I can track down a replacement cover plate as it was used on other cars, notably some variants of the Hillman Hunter series, but the clutch plate for these is different (not the Jaguar 10 spline requirement). Can anyone help with sourcing a replacement clutch plate or complete clutch unit please?

You could try the following:
Past Parts
Bury St Edmunds
01284 750729
www.pastparts.co.uk

or

Car parts direct
Derby
01332290833
www.carparts-direct.co.uk

They have both been helpful in finding bits in the past.
Regards.
