hi there does anybody know jaguars "official stand" on xj8 gearbox failures
i have a 2002 xj8 sport full jaguar service history with only 60k (but am over here in southern tip of ireland..no near main dealers or independents!! .)........wallop gearbox is gone!!!(as confirmed by david marks and my mechanic over the phone
my options are 1.jaguar main dealer(ouch!)
2.drive car to uk(still driving ok in safe mode!)
3.get low miles 2nd hand or recon box sent to me and my mechanic ...bmw/merc experience to fit it!!
either way any of the above is expensive and hassle.....question is...
if jaguar know they have an inferior part/weak link in the xj8...will they help me out...7 years old /66k??????
(by the way this is my fifth jaguar...and newest yet!!)
