Price when new?

Just wondering is there a list anywhere showing what price our cars were when new? I had a look about and can't seem to find anything - Parker's will give you a price (if its after 2000) but you have to pay them to get one before that as my car is an early 1999 model I'm thinking I should be able to find out somewhere on line without paying for the privilege

Basic prices when new for some X308 cars is available in Nigel Thorley's book "Jaguar--All the cars"
It may be available from the JEC shop and is a fascinating read for any Jaguar enthusiast.

When introduced in 1997 the prices were:

XJ Sport 3.2 - 34,475GBP
XJ8 3.2 - 35,675GBP
XJ8 4.0 - 40,975GBP
Sovereign 4.0 LWB - 46,575GBP
XJR - 50,675GBP

Daimler V8 - 52,575GBP
Daimler SV8 - 62,775GBP

My Car a 1999 Daimler Super V8 LWB with a 4.0LTR V8 was a Directors bespoke model. The price he paid was with the directors discount but the stock price for that model to Joe public if they could get that particular spec in that year would have been as U10 states approx £62,775 that's well above the price i have on the original receipt.
The Director Spec was a bespoke combination of Mistral paint, Ivory autolux leather,and a deep walnut woodwork, with the split rear reclining seats and CATS suspension.
The car has still only got 40,000 miles on the clock from new. "fabulous just fabulous".............. Joe
