cam locking tool(s)

Postby Greyone » Fri Jan 16, 2009 1:55 am

To aid in the replacement of upper cam chain tensioners,
Is the locking tool I require the one identified JD40, and do I need 2 of them. Dave.

::::Also, do these engines have variable valve timing?

Greyone,

It depends what engine you have..

4.0 litre aspirated do have variable valve timing, which I'm guessing is your engine. There's two differnt sorts on 4.0 engines. The early ones have max 30 degrees variations, whereas AJ27 egines have max 48 degrees variation.

If you set your signature up on your profile to show what type of car you have and what year, it makes it much easier for others to be able to respond appropriately to questions.

Good luck

Paul
