service manual

Postby kevinhafner » Tue Nov 25, 2008 9:57 pm

I'd like to change the rear discs on my 02 XJ8. Are there any CD's available or books?
I bought all the information back from the last seminar but it doesn't include anything about brakes.

Many thanks, Kevin.

Service manual

Hi Kevin,

If you bought the JDHT manual for the X308 on CD you will have found it covers only the electrics - very useful - but only some descriptions of the various mechanicals such as engine and transmission. No workshop service procedures, unfortunately.

I don't know when (if?) JDHT will bring out a CD for the X308 but meantime I suggest you get one from the USA like I did. I've just checked and it has the procedure you need for your model year. Getting the CD is quite straightforward: look under my topic "Service Manual" on this bulletin board for the details.

Kevin,

Sorry, just realised the correct topic is called "Workshop manual on CD" - not Service Manual.

Thanks Brian,
I'm in the states next week so I'll sort out a copy while I'm there.

Many thanks again, Kevin.
