2000 XKR powerfold mirrors `play'

has anyone experienced `play' with these mirrors apparently caused by corrosion with some of the interior elements. Whilst full replacement would sort the problem, has anyone managed to sort the problem on a more cost effective basis?

Hi Alistair ,
I pulled a "Sloppy" powerfold to pieces and it APPEARS not to be an easy fix
, however Black Country Jaguar have new/old stock miirors that are a bargain 
, give Mike at BCJ and tell him Nik from Beverley recommended you , just be clear and firm with what you require ,
