Hi All,
My Name is Derek
I'm from Poole Dorset.
I have a 99 XKR
Mods to date :-
MK2 MacLeod X-pipe exhaust (only one in the UK)
Jaguar SS mesh grill
Lower number plate plinth
Xeron HID light upgrade kit
Jewelled chrome rear light clusters
Chrome plinth
20" Perseus wheels with Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres
08 XK & R badges
Rear Wheel arch spats
45mm Lower with H&R Springs

Just joined after many years as a member of the XKEC,

However, After many years as a member and at one time Regional Organizer, with over 1000+ post on the forum.......

I'm am NO Longer a member of the XKEC club, or should I say (MARK's Club) !!!!!!!

This is because after the Growler Diner/Dance, Pamela & I (In the privately of our hotel room !!!!) were discussing the days events, and OUR conversation got around to club funds and what happens with them ?

As has been raised on the XKEC forum in the past, Before mark would lock said post !!
Also I believe on this JEC forum too !!!

Unbeknown to us, Mark and Karen had swapped rooms and was now in the one next to ours
With their Ears against the Wall
This lead to them having a wobbly and kicking me out the next day,

I think ( No KNOW) we touched a nerve with Mark and Karen

I wonder WHY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to making new friends and meeting you all

Derek (AKA Del Boy)

Hi Del Boy,

I like the pic. The car's spec doesn't sound too bad either. Welcome to the Forum. Hope you enjoy it. If you're coming to Thoresby Hall, don't hesitate to call in to the Forum area and introduce yourself. I should recognise you from your pic! Mike.

Hi Derek

I've just logged on - not been on for a while. Sorry to hear about your problems with 'the other club'. As you may know, I chose to leave and joined the JEC instead.

Anyway welcome to the XK8 forum. I've been a member for a couple of months now. I've not been on much, but you will find a few familiar faces on here and its re-assuring to know that there are always people on here willing to help out with technical questions etc.

I've done a couple of events with the JEC, in my opinion every bit as good, if not better than the other club. Things are well organised and there's loads going on in each of the regions - its nice to have the choice of attending local events without having to organise them yourself!

Maybe catch up with you sometime.

Cheers
