XK8 manual?

XK8 manual?

Has anybody tried fitting a manual box to an XK8? Would the V6 manual box out of a n S type fit for instance?

AFAIK the only manual conversion that has been done is by EAPJ in Derby, it's very complicated due to the electronics involved in the ECUs and control modules etc. not exactly a DIY proposition like it used to be a few years ago as without doing something about the electronics the ECUs will think the autobox is missing etc.etc. fault codes galore! :wink: :lol: :lol: :lol:

In fact they just sold the car on eBay

Thank you Bassman for that info. I've been to EAPJ in Derby today, they didn't sell the manual XK8 on ebay as it didn't reach reserve. They have however sold it today to me! Excellent 6 speed Tremec T56 box (as used in Vantage, Viper, Mustang etc) and mean clutch thats going to take some getting used to.
