I've just got my renewal notice from More Than, £392. So I did the trawl.

More Than online £340  £520 ex'.

Academy@ £310 with the wife on & £250 ex'.

This morning I received an email from More Than, £305 online £520 ex' Probably because I included the wife.

I have been bitten once before with motor insurance. Does anyone know Liverpool Victoria, they quoted an unbelievable £228 with £500 ex'.

Liverpool Victoria used to be Frizzell and was the main insurance co for the CSMA I believe so a big company. @£228 you can't go wrong and even adding on extra's will still bring it below the price of some others.

Result!! :D

Thanks for the info I'll certainly look at them once renewal rolls around

Yep' the quote was correct.

It's a good online site to use.

I opted for £200 ex' theft and £500 accident ex' with guaranteed NCD, still only £256. About the same as More Than but nearly £80 cheaper.

It costs a little more to put the wife on tho'. It doesnt matter she has here own car anyway.

It looks like L V will be getting another customer in December

'Cheap' insurance

Postby new2jags » Sun Feb 03, 2008 1:14 pm

I've just (Dec '07) taken out comprehensive insurance on my '53 XK8, with Saga (20% discount on line) - 60% protected bonus, £350 excess, me and 'her indoors' only to drive, legal assistance - total premium : £331.93, payable interest-free over 12 months!! Not bad, eh? At least £150 cheaper than the three companies with 'special arrangements' with the club!
