Well it certainly is no understatement that this forum is quiet! Surely there must be plenty of series owning members of the club who could contribute to it. Do people realise that you can talk about anything jaguar related not just technical issues? The secret to a good forum is logging in daily if that is possible and following threads. Does this forum actually belong to the club?

I agree , any idea what happened to 'this is dead , i was looking to see the post before yours and they seem to have disappeared

Another thing i've just noticed is the format of the post that i'm replying to is a more pleasing font on a nice grey background which i personally find easier to read , another thing am i the only one who's pages don't fill the screen ? is there a setting that widens this ?

Hello Derek 1951 As far as I know the original post is still there, I just thought I would start another thread to try and stimulate some interest in this forum. I see you’re a Daimler fan and the sd1 there is a blast from the past, I always fancied a v8 .

Yes definitely a Daimler fan , funny really as i've only had the one car for the last 20 years , i said i'd change it when it stopped being reliable but i finally got fed up waiting for it to let me down , now i've gone xj40 nuts

I'm looking for a Jag at the moment as i've got two blue cars and i fancy a red one but i'm not having a lot of luck , maybe it's my attitude i keep asking silly questions like 'you state full service history but also state last service 30.000 miles ago why ?' , bloke said he'd ring back when he got back to his office in 5 minutes , that was two hours ago

I’ve got to say I love the xj40 too, I think it is an underrated car and is definitely a bargain car to buy. If it wasn’t for the stupendously high road tax here in Eire I would go for a 4.0 s. I love the overall styling of the series 3 cars but dynamically the xj40 is streets ahead.
