Welcome to the forum, Nik. Glad you sorted some of the gremlins. We all seem to have some at times, goes with the territory, but certainly does not spoil the feel-good factor.
Hope to hear from you again soon. Meantime, enjoy your cat :D :D

Hi Nik

My name is Mick and own an xk8 1998 convertable its the best jag i haver ever owned.
You will find a lot of advice on the forum from other members ,
I took advice and had my top tensioners done and water pump and stat ,all as a precautionary job or so i thought ?? , the garage let me have the old ones back, they were on the last legs as they were all cracked and ready to break off at any time, hopefully i will be posting some pics of them soon as i can.
In the meantime enjoy the car as much as all other members

Hi Nik,

Like you, I am a new XK8 owner (MY2001). The car is in Misrale Blue with Oatmeal and looks gorgeous but I have a problem over a slight vibration through the the steering wheel which is proving difficult to sort out.

I am hopng to go to Harewood House 9th July so might see you there for a chat?

PS Who do you use for servicing etc?

Welcome to the forum Alan.
Hope you get your steering vibration sorted soon - silly question: have you had your wheel balancing tested? so you can enjoy your new P&J to the full.
Hope to see you at Harewood House in July where we can compare notes, as they say.
Meantime, carry on smiling as all of us lucky owners :D :D :D

Hi Alan, thanks for the welcome, hope to see you at Harewood in July,as for you vibration try getting the front wheels balanced by someone who really knows what they are doing, also check all joints and bushes very carefully. Not that I think they will be close enough for you but I use the Jaguar centre in Hull (only 8 miles from me !!) for all my repairs and servicing they give a discount to alligiance members (free if your cars over 3 years old!!)
