Hi
Wonder if anyone could help. My VIN label is badly damaged (situated on the headlight reinforcer panel) so I need to order a new one. Unfortunately the bottom of the label is more or less indecipherable so I need to know what info is there please. The paint is Carnival Red which I believe is CFS, whilst the trim is Oatmeal with anetlope piping, but I don't know if this is AGD or AAD or indeed something else. Finally I think there might be another letter or two right at the end, but don't know what this should be or even what it relates to.
I'd be really grateful if anyone could help me - this is going to cost me, wait for it... nigh on £50 from Jaguar so for that I'd like it to be right!!!
Many thanks

VIN label info for '95 Celebration coupe
Hi Phil B,
My trim is Oatmeal too, code ANT but was originally half leather (I don't know if the code was different)
The two digits at the bottom right of the VIN label are the month and year of build in a two digit alpha code.
If you contact Anders Clausager at Jaguar Heritage, he will check the details required for the VIN plate by looking up the info. from your VIN before asking manufacturing to make a new one. (Contact: 01865-381193 or visit the web site to order -

Does seem expensive but what else can you do?
Regards,
Mike

Phil,
If you do have Oatmeal trim, then it is code AGD. And if you have Carnival Red, it is CFS (but does look extremely similar to Flamenco Red which is CFH). The other two letters that you mention probably relate to the contrast seat piping.
You mention that Jaguar are prepared to make a new label for £50. I assume that this is via Jaguar Heritage as Mike has suggested. Can I just suggest that you clarify that they are aware that it is the spec label above the headlight panel that you have asked for and not an official stamped VIN plate as fitted inside the windscreen above the bulkhead? It would be an expensive mistake! The very best of luck with getting it sorted.
Mike,
I've not seen an ANT code before on a spec label. I'd be really grateful if you could take a photo at your convenience and email it to me if you don't mind for my reference material. Tks for your time.

Thanks Mike & Paul for your responses.
I initially contacted Julie Simpson at Jaguar Heritage but she just directed me back to my Jaguar dealer, where I duly went. I gave them my VIN number and a photo of my old label. I asked them to ensure that a similar style label was used, ie. not off a current model and also to ensure that all the other info was put on the label - I even offered to find out these details if required.
Last week I got it back but it was on a different label (the closest they had apparently) and all the paint etc details were just blank. That's when I made my first post on the Forum. Now I'm wondering if you are both right and that Jaguar Heritage really should be organising this for me. A bit late in the day for me though.
I will give Anders a call tomorrow and hopefully he will confirm the situation and I will post back for everyone's future reference. Judging by the state of my label I'm sure others will have the same problem at some time in the future.
By the way I think I can just make out the last 2 letters on bottom right as KK - but how does this relate to month and year of production and could this be right for an October 1995 registered car? Answers anyone from a car of this vintage?
Cheers
