To Barrs Leaks or not to Barrs Leaks

Around twelve years ago I put a can of Barrs Leaks in my Fathers eight year old Rover 820. The heater matrix had a pin hole in it and when the heater was used, filled the car with a strong curry like stink, not to mention steam vapour. OK if you don`t mind smelling of it after a few miles were driven! Frankly the pong was staggering!!

The can of Barrs cured the leak and the stench immediately and held good until we part exchanged the car under the scrappage scheme late last year.

We had absolutely no further problems with the matrix after the Barrs was administered or for that matter any other coolant/heating issues.

That`s my experience with the product.

Ok - I am sold, particularly if Dave Marks uses it! Had no idea of all its properties. Will be re-filling my coolant this spring and putting some Barrs in.
