Seat squab piping repair?

Postby stuart27 » Sat Jan 02, 2010 4:52 pm

Hi Folks

I think this is a common problem, but does anyone know of a way of repairing the drivers front seat bolster / squab? The piping has broken through, (where seat belt has been rubbing) exposing the plastic tube and I wondered if there was an easy way to fix...or if anyone knows of a company who would do a good repair.

My seats are otherwise in great condition so don't want to replace the whole seat back as this would cost a fortune I suspect.

Many thanks

Stuart

Seat squab piping repair?

Postby davidr » Sun Jan 03, 2010 2:46 pm

Hi there - I recently had the piping repaired on my 1989 V12 driver's seat back. The piping had worn through to the plastic as you decribe. This was done by a trimming company in Andover and cost me (I think!) about £60-£70.
I re-coloured the entire interior after that.
If you e-mail me I'll send you some photos and the details of the company that did it.
