N/S Mirror

Hi,
My off side mirror has decided to stop tilting down when I put the car into reverse, and ideas?

How are the other functions on the mirror? Can you still adjust it in all directions? Similarly how does the off side mirror behave? My reasoning is that the joystick control switch is known to suffer from internal corrosion. If the switch is taken apart it can be cleaned up, but be warned, it is one of those things that can fly apart if great care is not taken so go slowly!!

I have known the mirror lose its reverse position memory for no apparent reason (possibly due to high voltage spikes during winter cold starts) so, if you haven't already done so, simply try resetting its position whilst the car has reverse gear engaged. Mike.
