Side repeater

Postby Linda » Wed Mar 20, 2019 6:33 pm

My side repeater has a broken clip, I have bought a new one, can you tell me how I remove the electrical element to put it into the new repeater. I do not want to force it off and break it, just wondered if anyone had a magic tip for me.

Helpful to know what vehicle you are asking for assistance with? Year would help as well as model. Cheers.

From memory, once you have accessed the rear of the repeater by removing the under wing access panel, the bulb/holder/wiring can be removed either by twisting or squeezing the casing. Then, the repeater lens is extracted by pushing the unit forwards or backwards to compress one of the springy legs and simultaneously pulling the uncompressed end outwards. Mike.

Linda

It's about 10 years since I replaced one of these Bulbs.

From my sketchy memory, there are 2 little lugs on the Bulb Holder & you rotate the Bulb Holder by 90 degrees to release it from the Repeater Body.

Many thanks, it came away easier than I thought it would and I managed to change the bulb without disaster :D .
