just splice into the wire for the aux fan , the pump cover mounted stat works the fan no problem , and also provided run on after the engine is switched off , until the stat says thats enough.....

well, it does in my '89 V12

Oh right! The wiring, relay and fuse must be man enough then to take the extra load. Good old British quality! That is really really easy then. Might as well do it as I've got the fan already. Thanks!

if you wish , you can pick up a fused feed from the left engine bay fuse bank , and run to a relay , switch that relay from the pump stat , that will ensure you have two separate circuits for cooling
