Interior light delay and wipers

Postby champsdete » Sun Dec 23, 2007 10:44 pm

Having started the car from a booster, probably shouldn't have but I was desperate, the interior lights don't go out - at all! I know the delaly relay is powered by a fuse feed but don't know where the relay is or the fuse. Any one help? Also the wipers are very slow-always have been so not related to the first problem. It might be useful to know which model year ? Things do move about a bit over time.

On the 93 (facelift) cars the interior delay module is just to the right of the rhs fuse panel.

Interior light delay and wipers

If the wipers are slow, something is binding. Most likely culprits are the shafts which are sealed with O rings which eventually let water in and the grease out. A sure sign is that the wipers don't park as low down on the screen by themselves, but will with a little help from yourself.
Best to service them soon before the motor burns out.

 my guess is the interior light staying is not caused by the boost start but was the reason the battery went flat.
