Hi JagJim,
Just surfing through the BB and saw your un-answered question.
Item on Classicjaguar.com lists the following:
Opalescent Maroon
Year Range...1962 - 1966.
Old RM# JA033
New RM# 7421
Glasurit# JAG-7421A

Hope this is of some benefit to you.

Hi Anthony , I took my car to the bodyshop armed with the information you gave me only for them to discover my car was not Opelescent Maroon it has been re sprayed Toyota Bordeaux. Maybe that was the nearest to maroon they could find or the owner wanted that colour we will never know :?
Thankyou for your input . Regards.

I know its not quite the same thing, but I resprayed a lot of my car again last year after taking the old 10ltr tin of paint into my local paint shop (where I got this tin from). They said they didn't recognise their own codes so mixed up another 5 ltrs to match and warned me it was slightly different paint!

On the top of a front wing that I part sprayed I can see the differences in paint colour (celulose), but not on adjacent doors!!

Everything changes.
