Repeated fault codes

Postby venge » Sun Mar 16, 2014 3:17 pm

Hi

I was on here recently seeking advice due to 2 faults which had been picked up on my OBD11 reader. The first turned out to be the lambda sensor which I changed and have no further problems from. However, the second showed a code of P0353 which is shown in my list as coil C. I changes the coil for a spare one that I had (used) and deleted the code. This however did not work and the fault returned. I then changed the coil for a brand new one and once again deleted the code. The car however is now showing the same code and the car, once warmed up, will go back into repeated performance for 10 minutes or so, then go back to normal driving for a while then back into restricted performance again etc etc.

My question is firstly, am I changing the correct coil, is my list correct and I am following the right layout? Secondly, what else could it be, I thought maybe the wiring loom to the coil or maybe even the spark plug itself?? anyone any ideas, would be very much appreciated. :?

Long way round i know but why not try to fit the new coil systematically on every one until you get a result, could be just a malfunction on any one..........just a thought...Joe

Cheers Joe, had that very thought just the other day. Going to try changing the plug on it today to see if that helps but failing that, I will be changing 'em all !!

Thanks for your assistance :)
