Replacing the latch cylinder or the pipe seals is fairly straightforward, if lengthy. Use plenty of plastic sheeting to protect the interior trim from drips and leaks during the work. When everything is back together, it will be necessary to operate the opening/closing procedure several times to bleed the system. Make sure you complete the full cycle each time without releasing the button part way through. The parts required are rather specialised so unless you are very lucky, the chances are that you will have to source them (at list price) from a main dealer or Jaguar approved supplier like SNG Barratt's.
