Boot trim

Postby eugos » Tue Jun 04, 2013 9:00 pm

Hi

Can anybody help me, I have a 53 Coupe, and I am in the process of a rolling restoration, the carpeted trim panel in the boot that covers the fuel tank has bowed and falls down into the boot.

I suspect that there should be a panel to hold it in place that would fit inside the boot underneath the parcel shelf, can anybody advise as to weather that is in fact the case or is this a common problem.

Attempts to glue it in place have failed, any advice would be appreciated, especially the part no if such a panel exists

Thanks

Eugene

Hi Eugene
Assuming you are talking about a XK8 registration plate 53 (not an XK 1953) I may be able to help.
If you give me your VIN number and an email address (you can pm me with this) than I will email you a diagram showing all the various carpet pieces and a range of part nos of the vertical section covering the petrol tank.

Hope this helps.
