Guys,
Near to me here in Fareham, Hants, is an XJR, T reg, not used since about October 2009. Gold colour, one front orange bumper reflector missing, a couple of small rust patches on rear panel, possibly a Nik engine, brakes looking a little corroded, battery probably gone and as I recall, a need for new supercharger bearings. Visually good but very dirty. Some work carried out to the front brakes but may need freeing off as the car has not moved for a while. Racing Green appear in the service history. Mileage I30k. Interior looks very tidy. Registration not included in the price.
The car has been on the parking lot of a vacant industrial building since 2009. The building agents now want the car removed or will tow away soon. I have contacted the owner to inform him. Apparently he now has no further need for the car and is looking for £I700. The car is presently probably a non runner, and will almost certainly need a battery to move. I suspect the MOT is out also. Owner is Ken Doherty, phone 0208 I44 2I88.
Over to you.
Think someone might end up with a bargain. There are enough tyre kicking points available to make for an easy haggle.
I have further pics available. Unable to load more here as we are limited to three images per post. PM or better mail me if you need to see more.

Re: Supercharged xjr for sale.
Further examination of this car today revealed that two new rear tyres are needed and obviously a battery. Cost total around £500 to fix.
The marks below the boot lid on the rear panel are not rust but just green grot.
Body appears to be corrosion free. Underside not examined.
Front brake callipers and pads are new. Discs are used but only slightly lipped. Heavy corrosion to discs but would probably clean up. Car parked with hand brake applied.
Tax and MOT expired. Car would appear to be a good proposition for a punt at around a grand.
Interior could do with a good leather clean and perhaps some re dye attention.
The car does not appear to have cruise control. Unable to examine engine or hear running.
I recently saw an immaculate black, turn key car with similar mileage and age, T&T sell for £2500 on ebay.
I am considering offering £800 for the car. Any advice or comments please guys.

Re: Supercharged xjr for sale.
I have factored the costs into my offer. £90 the pair over here in the UK, plus labour charges.
This car has done I30k miles and may have a post Nik engine fitted but cannot confirm. If that is not the case, it is likely to have had tensioners replaced but not perhaps ali latest 4th generation units. This would need to be checked.
It is worth noting that I replaced my 02 V8 S-type secondary tensioners at 44k miles. Cracks were clearly evident.
Image shows the units taken from my car on the centre and left of the picture, plus one I was given of a broken unit taken from another car at 8Ik miles. The bottom broken foot was recovered from the sump.
