Boot release fuse blown - solved

Postby stuartie148 » Sun Mar 21, 2010 11:29 am

Ok - I was trying to sort the wiring for the radio and yea - i blew a fuse - the one that controls the boot release and the radio lives - easy fix right? yes it would be if the fuse wasn't in the boot. Can't open it with the key or the central locking so how do i do it manually? Please tell me there's a hidden catch somewhere in the car - help!!!
Please
Thanks
Stuart
Answer - decided after looking everywhere for a hidden catch to drill into the bootlid behind the number plate. Drilled a 10mm diameter hole level with the key lock and fished out the wiring for the boot lock actuator. These are coloured black (earth) and red/yellow(positive)Fed a 12volt + to the positive and earth to the black wire and.......Hey presto!!!! replaced the fuse that controls it and we're back in business (blue 15amp).
:D
