can anyone advise on how easy or not it is to replace the cat converters. are any special tools required and is there any advice or technical manual pages availiable?

Thanks for any help.

Hi John,
The replacement of cats is an awkward job simply through lack of access made worse if you're contemplating doing it without a hoist. It doesn't require any special tools as such but releasing exhaust components without breaking studs etc and expecting to re-use the components is always fraught with difficulties demanding much patience and often not a little heat. In other words, it can be done but try not to do it working against a deadline! Mike.
