Well thought i'd got a bargain on the old ebay site. I've been looking to get a replacement for my 70s ''Mullberry'' rear seat for a while without going down the brand new route.
Low and behold a ''Cranberry'' (as the seller called it) part xjs interior appeared from a later model with leather console/leather door cards, front seats looked wrecked but I wasn't bothered as the rear seat and back looked very good and on the computer monitor looked like the same colour.
OOPS!!!!!!!
Different colour !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Must admit that i've not looked into trim colours but I now know there are at least 2 red shades, my original interior is more like a post box red and this other interior i've now got is more a deep wine red (looks nice though).
Not too fussed as i'll just use the rear seat for now till I clen/re-stitch/re-colour my original.
So will my original 'brighter' red be the mullberry trim?
Oh !!! Leather !!!!

Oh !!! Leather !!!!
i got a feeling the darker red is the Mulberry ( 1984 ish onwards ) , its the same as my interior
and is hard to come by
earlier cars did have a slightly lighter colour ' red ' interior which i think was called ' ox-blood '
these look very similar in pictures, but when put together, the later mulberry interior is much darker
the old code for mulberry is ' CEM ' new code ( after production stopped ) is ' CM '
i have had to replace my door-cards, and a few other bits in mulberry ,
i have been lucky to get hold of several meters of mulberry vinyl , which i use to repair replace my interior
also, not many cars had all leather interiors, several only have leather seat facing ,console lid and door pulls, but lots had all vinyl interiors apart from the seat facings ,
i'm lucky , i have leather door cards, leather console , console lid and all leather seats......... but all kick panels and other trims are vinyl
just for info , the carpet is know as ' wine red ' to match mulberry

Yes the first time I looked at the pictures of your interior I thought it was the same as my original brighter red, now I look a little closer and think of the darker interior i'm not so sure. My original 70s interior is just leather seat facings and lots of 70s vinyl
The darker interior I got off ebay is all leather and apart from the front seats and console arm rest is in a useable (after a little wipe clean) condition (just wish it was complete as there were no rear sides cards).
The darker door cards themselves are far better condition structuraly so i'll remove the trims and switch the cards if poss.
