XJ350 2006 SOV CATS

Postby marcusgoody » Sun Mar 28, 2021 2:07 pm

I have a warning light on the dash which I have traced to a damaged sensor on top of the rear shock - the two prongs have been crushed by the guy before me . He fitted a new shock but then proceeded to force the connector down without aligning the two (female) recesses.
My local Jag guy says I have to fit another shock!!!
Surely the sensor should be available somewhere - as it is removable by undoing the three allen headed cap-screws on the top of the shock inside the boot.
Any body help please?

Sadly, in this throw-away world, Jaguar only supplies the complete unit and failures usually involve the physical rather than the unit's electrical functions. Perhaps a deft electronics engineer could retrieve the situation for you? Mike.
