This month’s JEC magazine makes reference (p.22) to a Modern XK event in September this year described as a Poldark run.

Does anyone know what this is please?

The Poldark Run is being organised by the Local Group for Devon and Cornwall, the contact details for whom appear in the monthly column of the Modern XK in the JE magazine. It was initially planned to happen in 2020, but for obvious, reasons has been pushed back to 2021.
The original notice for the participation call was in the JE magazine in July 2019 - see page 74. If you don't have your physical copy of that magazine any longer, you can locate it online via the JEC website. Not sure if there are still places available, but you can contact the organiser and ask the question.
