Windscreen washer

Postby ian458 » Sat Jul 11, 2020 9:41 am

My XJ358 suffers from poor windscreen washer performance. I've drained the reservoir, flushed it etc, and although there's a short strong squirt from the fixed nozzles at each press of the button, when the wipers sweep only a few drips come out of the (rubber tube fed) nozzles . There was mention in this month's Enthusiast magazine (July 2020) in the XF section of a 'timed spray' to save water. The comment was by 'Ian Kelsall' but he doesn't appear in the JEC contacts list.
Any ideas please - I'd like a proper swoosh of water on the screen!

Usually blocked wiper nozzles which clog up. I used 5a fuse wire to rod the muck out. Give it a try.
