Hi
I seem to have condensation in both my xenon headlights. I would have presumed this would have dried out with the lights on, but it does not seem to have done so.
Does anyone know a way to dry this out. Can you remove the glass from the lamp itself might there be any other tricks

Condensation in Headlights
Re: Condensation in Headlights
Try running with the screw in rear covers removed for a few days. That might ventilate the lamps to atmosphere and dry out the interiors.
If that doesn`t work, then its off with the bumper cover to gain access to the twin lamp holder units. These are either bolted or screwed to the front cross member. Don`t bother to try to get the burner units out of the light units with the complete light units still fixed to the car. The burners are a half inch or so too long and they won`t clear the front cross member. Its a real cuss of a piece of unthinking design. Sorry Guv...its all got to come out! With the bumper cover off on the floor, just half a dozen 13mm hex head bolts hold the units to the car. Cover removal is a far bigger pain than light removal. Expect bumper fixings to be a corroded mess so allow a couple of hours to get the cover off the car and down onto the ground. After that, getting the lights out is simple. New metal fixings will almost certainly be needed to refit the bumper cover. What you remove is unlikely to be re-usable.

Re: Condensation in Headlights
Hi Mike
That's for the heads up the explanation...going to try every knack first before I have to remove the bumper as that does sound like a real pain. I thought I had the problem in both lights but it is only the left side but both lights....ill have a look at the weekend and try the screw removal thing
