Daft question - Removal of scuttle/air intake grille

Hi all

Want to clear out some leaf debris from the void below the scuttle/wipers, but can't seem to get the scuttle grille to come off. Removed the wipers and the two screws visible with the bonnet open. However, the grille won't budge - it seems to be jamming on the wiper stubs, unable to clear them in coming off.

There may well be something very simple I'm not doing or forgetting about.

Don't worry! There's no such thing as a daft question! It's daft not to ask and struggle!
Your car is a facelift?
In which case you will need to prise off the 2 black plastic shrouds from around the wiper spindles. Be careful doing this as they will be brittle and are no longer available from Jaguar so you don't want to break them.
Under there you will find 2 more screws. Once you've got them the the grille will lift off.
Whilst you're in there make sure that you don't have any corrosion including the scuttle drain tubes.

Thanks. It was no bother once I'd followed your instructions. Loads of leaves and basically compost down there, but unbroken paint and no rust, amazingly! Spotless now.
