1983 XJ-SC 3.6 manual cabriolet for sale

I have owned my car for 3.5 yrs and like many classic car owners I have spent far more on improvements that I originally intended to do. My everyday cars are automatics, but they do not give you the driving experience like the manual versions give. My only reason for selling this car is that I like to experience cars from my past and the last 2 being a Landrover Defender and a Morris Minor. Total spent to date on my Cabriolet is £20k and now I am asking for offers around £17k. I realise you can pick up cheaper 3.6 cabriolets but I am sure that most of them will need work doing. Ideally I want to buy another Jag but this time go for an XK model that does not require work. Ideally I would keep this car and still have what I want, but garage space does not allow this to happen.
The car is advertised on the JEC classifieds for more information

Decided to not sell this car now as I am not sure what I would like to replace it. I have had a lot of interest at classic car shows, but they are all looking for a low priced bargain. I have over spent renovating this car but like many classic car owners it is not about the money it is about constantly improving the car. I have come to the conclusion that it is better situation to know the status of what you have rather than starting the whole cycle again with another vehicle. At the end of the day the XJS takes some beating for comfort, handling and standing out as a true classic.
