Interior light fuse

So, the X Type let me down again and I had to take the XJR6 to work.
Getting in the car at 0455 I realised that all the interior lights were out although the roof console buttons were still lit.
I didn't have time to mess about so set off anyway.
is it likely to be a sticking door switch or a fuse?
If the latter where is the fuse located?

Steve, I hope after three years since posting your query, the interior light problem with your XJR6 has been solved. I have an interior light fuse problem so thought it easier to pick up this thread rather than start a new one.
Two days ago all the interior lights in my 1995 Daimler 6 failed and I have found that fuse F8 in the RHS heelbox had blown. I replaced the fuse but it blew immediately. Any ideas what could be the likely cause or where to start looking for the source of the problem would be appreciated.

I sorted it by selling the car!
I can't remember what I did but it might be worth checking the sun visor wiring if lamps are fitted.

Nearly a year after my last post on the subject of the interior light circuit fusing I have now found the source of the problem, or at least Stewart Hunt at XJ Engineering in Bentley has found and fixed it. As suspected the wiring going into the nearside (LHS) sun visor has crimped and the connection needed to be made good. It is fine now. Whilst investigating the problem it was also found that the wires around the RHS boot lid hinge had crimped as well and the boot light had failed as had the boot press button switch. Reconnecting these solved these problems as well. All in all - a good result.
