Re: seat backs
Hi Matt and welcome to the X308 forum,
I had a 99 3.2 X308 without tables and removed the seat back on one seat in order to get to a failed rear lift motor and don’t think there were any internal attachments for the trays so unless they are just screwed into captive plates in the plastic backs then I can’t see how they might fit. I now have a Daimler Super V8 with tables and the rear plastic shell is recessed for the tables (in other words, a different back shell) and I removed one table a few years ago to repair a scratch. I feel that the table screws went through the shell and into the frame but could be wrong about that as I didn’t need to remove the back shell.
A pm to Rob Jenner might turn up back shells and tables and he might know the exact fitting method.
Is your forum name connected with that lovely 250 bike I once owned?

Re: seat backs
many thanks Ian
I think you are right you need a complete different seat back and mainly they seem to come from states which means trying to match colour and of course quite expensive to ship! The other thhing they seem to refer to the Vaden plas which i assume might be a uk soveriegn equivakent but wouyld think seats are same.
the name refers to the modern GT which is a nod to the beauty you refer to. Was a nice big that thumped along with that knowing single cylinder grunt!
I actually dont have it anyore but used the name all over and easy for me to remember
All the best
Matt
