Hi all you helpful people, I wonder if you can give me some advice and help. Whilst my upper steering column is out of the car and being refurbished, I want to fit a Moto Lita 15"steering wheel. I have the correct boss and horn push and wonder if I bolt it straight in it will work?
Inside the horn push there is a small brass screw in the centre, which possibly will contact the spring loaded contact in the centre of the car's column but this looks too good to be true. The horn kit came with an attachment kit which includes a spring loaded horn pencil and a short connection lead.
Has anyone fitted a Moto Lita wheel and how did they get on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Patrick

Re: Moto Lita Steering Wheel Fitting and Electrics
OK, for all you folks who were looking for an answer to my post and found none, here is the answer, as I have now fitted the Moto Lita wheel and it is working fine. Just a couple of points to help. Firstly make sure that the wheel centre pushbutton, protruding side metal wire, which is spring loaded is in good clean contact with bare metal on the inside of the horn boss when you push it in, as it is through this contact that the current will go tho earth and sound the horn. Secondly, make sure that the spring loaded brass contact in the centre of the steering column is clean and touches the brass centre screw in the centre of the horn push button as this will conduct the current to earth when the horn button is pressed.
I hope this helps anyone who is thinking of fitting a similar steering wheel.

Thanks for recording how you got it to work. I have a Moto Lita steering wheel but have never had to take it off yet, however I am considering fitting an EPS system this winter if I can be brave enough so this is useful.
