IRS Radius arm bushes. Metalastic or not? Part C23782

Postby BookerME » Thu Sep 06, 2018 6:07 am

I see references to using Metalastic radius arm bushes.
What's the issue here and what's the difference between them and 'after market' ones - apart from the price of course!
Does anyone have any experience or views please?

Cheers, Mac.

Metalastic is the trademark of the company that invented bushes that have rubber between the outer and inner metal tubes. If you search the name you can find an interesting history of the company. If you want to keep the car more or less standard the main parts suppliers like SNG all sell them to OEM spec (or they may even still be Jag supplied), so unless you want and can find polybush replacements stick with them.
