So here's the Idea take off your aircon pump belts and pipes and throw them away!
Thus reducing weight at the front end(i believe pump alone is about 100lb?)
also reducing load on the engine.
And what's the loss seeing as it seems most peoples A/C doesnt work anyway on there x's.
p.s.
cheap and not adding any weight, the window provides excellent air con.
Providing your window switches, motors etc work.
:?: :?

Tried it, doesn't work!
In warm weather, the heat from the transmission tunnel and floor area is enormous and no amount of window opening will cool it. Also, unless the ventilation system is modified, it will go to full cooling mode which moves the flaps to re-circ rather then fresh air which means it gets even hotter.

Why not just get the A/C working correctly? its not a difficult system :?

will get round to a/c eventually although not a priority in this cold weather.
Having dry feet is more important, which is a problem with my leaky windscreen.
Was more interested in the idea, mainly on the weight saving (less front heavy) and poss better fuel economy wise.
My air con / heating just blows hot air at your feet.
cant get anything from my cabin vents( the ones at dash level) and nothing to the screen.
I have to rely on the shammy leather for that.
