Hi all,
Upgraded the bulbs in my headlights. Made a huge difference. See photos. Was an easy fix too!
Thanks again

Re: Headlight Bulb upgrade
H7 halogen on dipped beam on an S-type.
You need small hands but I did an uprate conversion on my V8 S-type several years ago. Fitted Halfords +130% Extreme Brilliance lamps. Head and shoulders above standard OE fit. Osram also sell up-rated H7 Night Breaker halogen lamps.
If your car is HID equipped, then again Osram XNB Night Breakers are the way to go. See my article on up-rating my HID X350 in the magazine pages around mid 2017 onwards for fitting details. Not much different in an S-type as regards fitting difficulties.
Top tip. It is much easier to remove and fit replacement lamps on S-type and X350 models if you drop the bumper cover off and un-bolt the headlamp units. It takes about the same time as having a nightmare struggle in a small space with head lamp units still in place. Jaguar should and could have given us just another inch of clearance at the back of the lamp units on both models. That would have made lamp changing very much easier.
