Koni settings

Postby Lanan » Thu Sep 07, 2017 2:09 pm

Newbie member and also Mk2 Jag owner.
Whilst my enthusiasm is high, I thought that I would refresh the front suspension bushes, joints, dampers etc.
I have splashed out on a set of Koni dampers, but as they are a faff to alter the settings, I wondered if anyone had settled on a good ride / handling balance to set the damper to ?

Hi, it does not look like anyone has fitted Koni's to the front of the Jag. I have standard shocks on mine so cannot help directly but I have used them on other cars. Unfortunately it waqs always the case of setting in the middle setting and then moving from that to suit as there are many things that affect what is ok or not. Most of that is personal choice about comfort, firmness, responsivenes etc.
It may be worthwhile though commenting on how difficult this all was for future reference/use of others if they are considering such a change.
