Hi,

Whats a BB badge?

If I need one, can I have one?

Tony - I can come on my own if it means that other JEC XJ-S folks can come. My better half and son don't mind - think that they may have a better offer already!

My XJ-S is now out of storage, but has sprung an oil leak. She's good to come down to KWE, but I will be "Captain Slow" for the day. Any chance of getting her up on the ramp for an opinion? Current best thinking suggests Oil Cooler, but I can't be sure...

Cheers, Rich.

Rich

No probs with your passengers coming, we're spot-on for numbers including them (unless they really do have a better offer and I can't think what it might be).

Can't see why you can't get on the ramp, tho' if their workshop is like I suspect it is then they may not want you in there dripping oil on the floor!
Unfortunately if it is the oil cooler you can't do without it on a V12 (unlike a six where you just throw it away!) so you'll have to get it fixed.

Thanks Tony... The oil cooler was replaced 10 years ago so I suppose it is reasonable that it may be suspect again. I guess a new one is about £300?

Separately, the cambelt tensioner failed on my Volvo the other evening so a huge £6.5K bill. Unbelievable! The car has only just turned 5 years old and has a full main dealer history. Mmme - time to get a new car I think! ..and persecute the UK Concession and dealer

UPDATE

Hope you are all looking forward to tomorrow, weather forecast is improving with (hopefully) showers dying out from lunchtime into the afternoon and sunny spells. It is however going to be cold with a north wind so do wrap up well!
If it rains too much the programme may be amended to allow us to remain indoors, Chris Knowles has suggested a "masterclass" on air-con, with a possible free re-gas available.
I am hoping however that the weather will remain fair so that we can do some test-drives :D

ALSO

KWE are breaking a 1994 6.0 Coupe , Solent Blue (I think) Doeskin leather. Chris has suggested that if you are interested in buying any bits that you bring your chequebook (rather than credit card) with you.

PARKING
will be in the large public car park next to the showroom (Building 86) which will be signposted for us.

See you tomorrow, fingers crossed for the weather.

Best Wishes

Tony
Thanks for organising a brilliant day out :D :D . Lots of good tips and ideas together with good company and good hospitality
I'm sure you'll all support me in thanking Chris, Theresa, Pete and Dave for their hospitality, advice and encouragement.
Incidently, for those of you who were interested in Chris's explanation of air con, but didn't take notes, there are some excellent diagrams of how it all works on the skjag site http://www.skjagtech.co.uk/support-page ... pport.html
