Re: Abs fault / cruise not available
Check the battery voltage, clear the codes and wait and see if they come back.

Re: Abs fault / cruise not available
On the X350 at least, these three faults will show up as a group if you have a faulty wheel speed sensor. I've had this happen 3 times now and had to change the faulty sensor flagged by the diagnostics. After changing the sensor and resetting the codes everything works as normal. The rear sensors are easy to change, the front one less so.

Re: Abs fault / cruise not available
How old is the battery?
Changed mine last winter as all sorts of odd messages started to occur. C-Teks are good to keep battery conditioned and I use them myself but the voltage on these cars is very sensitive and so a slight decline in batteriy as it ages can start to trigger all sorts of erroneous messages.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Re: Abs fault / cruise not available
Hi all
Finally got the fault codes, is this the abs speed sensor and are parts both the same for left and right as will replace both sides to be safe ?
And are these an easy fix
Really appreciate the support

Re: Abs fault / cruise not available
From the diagnostic that seems fairly clear. I would check the cable and the connector before replacing the actual sensor just in case there is a fray or dodgy connection.
Looking at the speed sensor for X100 and X150 they are not radically different. I have experience of X100 and in theory it's a simple job if the one you are replacing hadn't been in there that long. However over time the casting and component seem to glue themselves together! Be prepared to feed penetrating oil to the existing sensor and where it mounts into the casting - keeping the spray away from all brake surfaces - leave to soak overnight to give the best possible chance to extract it whole.
Also the workshop manual has the following guidance:
CAUTION: Make sure that the harness retaining bracket is not removed. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the harness.
NOTE: Note the orientation of the clip.
CAUTION: Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.
Torque: 6 Nm
NOTE: Make sure that the component is installed to the position noted on removal.
I hope that helps - good luck. Let us know how you get on.
