Battery replacement.

Postby Richard_E » Mon Dec 09, 2024 5:38 pm

My old 4 litre V8 S-Type needs a new battery. Any recommendations as to make and model of battery? Once the battery is replaced, do I need to do anything, or reset anything?

Battery replacement is quite conventional. Always change to a battery of at least the same amp hour (90Ah) and cold cranking capacity (680amps). Make sure you have the radio code to hand before disconnecting the old battery. Any stored fault codes are likely to be lost so, if you have an ongoing car fault, it would pay to note down any such information beforehand. As for a recommendation of where to buy, Tayna batteries usually have a variety of batteries available at sensible prices and a good delivery service as well. Mike.
