Can’t find these parts

Can anyone help find new replacements for the purge valve canister etc, I not sure of the correct name for the parts or which is the correct part number, please see photos attached

I took the number DENSO 3W83-9C915-BC 421 from one of your photos and DENSO 1X43-9S446-BB 029 from the other and Googled them. Useful info came up . With that and using the Workshop Manual, the first photo is of the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve Resonator and the second photo is of the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve itself.

The Purge Valve Part No is C2N3045, the other seems more difficult to be sure of what the Part No, but it was also used in the X type and that makes used ones plentiful

If you're looking to replace what you have I would suggest for new ones, go to SNG Barratt or good guaranteed used ones, from AutoReserve. If you phone either of them, they'll advise what they have in stock and ensure its the right one for your car. You may find that either price or non-availability puts you in the used parts market, but unlike some Ebay sellers, AutoReserve do guarantee theirs for 30 days

Update
I decided to try and test the canister and solenoid I have removed from my car in my amateur way, I found the solenoid clicks with power and I can blow through it and not when power is disconnected, and the canister I can blow through from one direction and not the other.
So to my simple amateur mind both are working correctly, which presents me with a problem.

The symptom I have been trying to fix is periodically I get a dull sound which sounds like my fuel tank is flexing which I have assumed was a vacuum in the tank caused by the purge valve / canister but if both said items are working as they seem to be, what else could be causing my fuel tank to flex?

All and any suggestions welcome as my car is now of the road until I solve this issue

At this stage I think your DIY testing has been rather successful and you can now replace those two items fairly confident they are not the cause of your booming fuel tank, but your on the right track!

The root cause is most likely a problem with the Fuel Vapour Vent Valve, fitted in the top of the fuel pump module that is in the top of the fuel tank, as shown here in the w'shop manual. It's a press-in fit.

Air pressure in the tank should relieve through this valve, pass through the charcoal canister where the fuel vapour is absorbed and on to atmosphere. Every so often, when a variety of conditions are met, the purge valve will open and fresh air is drawn in and through the canister to flush it clear of trapped fuel vapour and on to the engine induction arrangement to be burnt.

If the vapour valve sticks shut, or the pipework has a blockage, pressure variations in the tank can cause the sort of noises you're experiencing and also can be observed by opening the tank filler cap and hearing an in or out rush of air.

Note that the Emissions Control System varies between 4.0 and 4.2 models and also the USA models have a more complex system to meet the more stringent requirements of that country

For 4.2 models, access to the Vapour Valve is dependent on your exact model version; coupes have an access route via the sub-bass speaker in the parcel shelf whereas convertibles require the fuel tank to be removed, but both methods are awkward, so an alternative work-around is used by some and that is to add a vent hole to the filler cap. This was addressed in short articles in the Modern XK part of the magazines in March and April editions of 2023 by our then co-ordinator Jim Mann and can still be found in the Membership Section of this Website.

As my boot lining is removed at the moment I've managed to get this photo showing the arrangement on top of the fuel tank.

The black Vapour Valve is clearly accessible venting to the steel pipe running along the rear edge of the tank to the left ,and with a bit of effort with a suitable lever, the valve does start to lift out - I've gone no further

Another update
I reassembled the purge valve etc today and took the car for a 30 mile road test, not wanting to jinx myself but all seemed fine.
I am wondering if all the disturbance to the purge valve etc and my amateur testing of these items may have rebooted them, but whatever the reason if it continues to function I will be happy, thank you for all the advice.
Next task will probably be the replacement of the passenger side door latch, not a job I am looking forward too.

The Purge valve or Valve Purge on SNG BARRATT site is part number C2N3045 at £111.29 the charcoal canister is NNB6110AA and is now unobtainable from them and Jaguar if anyone knows of an alternative route please post it if you dont mind.
