Thanks Paul. There are loads of Jag specialists in Kent, over the last 18 years owning an XKR I've tried a few!
One in Sittingbourne for Jag/Aston, JAS in Folkestone, Collier Street Maidstone , a guy called Andy near New Ash Green, Locks Bottom near Sevenoaks. There was/is a guy in Charing near me but I could never get him to do anything. Smarden Sports cars seem to have some Jag experience as do D & D in Ashford. I'd recommend H&C in maidstone who do a great job on my BMW and also claim to do Jaguars although they have not seen mine yet. I used Penge Jaguars but Trevor has recently taken retirement.

Latest info. I drove the car Sunday night and added a service message and an amber engine warning Check with my cheap code reader gave pending codes, P0017 Can sensor Position B bank 1 and P057B Brake pedal sensor. Checking in with Trevor this with earlier unclearasble codes now points to an earthing problem , most likely the strap under the arch near the ABS module. Battery change may be related to the drain from the poor earth and is a symptom rather than a cause. Hoping to get authorisation to get it looked at or collected and returned fixed.

Some update. All errors except the Pedestrian warning have ben fixed. A fuse in the circuit to the ABS unit had blown! They think the Pedestrian warning is also a loom issue.
